Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 18, 2026

OweGoGo (“we,” “the app”) helps you track shared trip expenses and settle balances with friends. This policy describes what data the app handles.

Summary

OweGoGo is local-first. Trip data lives on your device. We do not operate accounts, analytics, or advertising. OweGoGo does not process payments.

Data stored on your device

Depending on how you use the app, OweGoGo may store:

Deleting the app removes this data from the device unless you have a device backup that includes the app’s data.

Data we do not collect

OweGoGo does not:

Venmo and other apps

If you set a Venmo username and use pay/request links, OweGoGo opens Venmo (or a Venmo web page) with amount and note details you chose. Venmo is a separate service operated by Block, Inc.; its privacy practices apply when you use Venmo.

Sharing trip reports (Messages, Mail, etc.) is done through the system share sheet under your control.

Photos

Receipt photos are chosen via the system photo picker and stored only with your local expense records. OweGoGo does not upload them.

Notifications

If enabled, OweGoGo may schedule local notifications related to your trips. Notification content is generated on device.

Children’s privacy

OweGoGo is not directed at children under 13. Do not use the app to store information about children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves (for example, if cloud sync is added later). The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
